Connect Zeus Wallet to BTCPay Server

This guide will help you connect Zeus to your BTCPay Server Node.

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

  • Run the ripsline installer on your Virtual Private Server (Virtual Private Node)
  • Setup admin login and your first store on BTCPay.
  • Configured your Lightning Node from BTCPay dashboard. Getting Started w/ BTCPayServer
  • Have a green dot next to "Lightning" in BTCPay left-hand navigation panel.

Get Started

The first thing you want to do is download & verify Zeus on your Dedicated GrapheneOS Device.

Step 2: Connect Zeus to BTCPay Node

Once logged into BTCPay, and BTC is fully synched you'll need to:

  • Navigate the left-hand panel, "Server Settings" → "Services" → "LND (REST)" → "See information"
  • click "Show QR Code"
  • Open Zeus, choose "Advanced Set-up" → "Create or connect a wallet" → click the scan box top right and scan BTCPay QR.
  • If you don't have a second Dedicated Device to scan: click below, "Alternatively, you can see the settings by clicking here", in BTCPay.
  • In Zeus, click the "Wallet interface" dropdown → "LND (REST)". You will have to paste the REST Uri (BTCPay) into "Server address" (in Zeus) & Macaroon (BTCPay) into "Macaroon (Hex format)" (in Zeus)
  • Leave the "REST Port" as default.
  • Leave unselected "Use Tor" & "Certificate Verification" → click "SAVE WALLET CONFIG"
  • You will see a Certificate Verification Warning, it is safe to ignore. Click, "I UNDERSTAND, SAVE WALLET CONFIG"
